Since the opening of the website of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in the Republic of Uganda, we have received lots of care, assistance and warm support from friends of China, Uganda and many other countries, which contribute to the building and expansion of the website and an increasing click-through-rates. I would like to take this opportunity to extend, on behalf of the Chinese embassy, our heartfelt gratitude to Chinese, Ugandans and other friends of various circles, who care and support our website.

Uganda, located in the Eastern African Plateau, is known as the "Pearl of Africa" for its beautiful landscape, the unique and rich natural conditions with wonderful environment and a delightful climate.

China and Uganda enjoy a profound traditional friendship. Since the diplomatic relations was established 45 years ago, notwithstanding great changes in the international situation, the China-Uganda friendship has become stronger and stronger, the friendly relations and cooperation between our two countries have been consolidated and developing steadily and cooperative fields have been further expanded, and in particular, in political, economic, trade, health, educational, cultural, technological and other fields have sincere and fruitful cooperation been carried out.

The launching of the Embassy's website has opened a new window of understanding each other between the peoples of China and Uganda, and played an adequate role in promoting China-Uganda friendly relations and cooperation. We will make active effort to manage our website well and offer timely information services. Finally, I sincerely wish Chinese, Ugandans and other friends to continuously care and support our website and to share with us your good suggestions to manage the website.
